22 year-old man held under $100k bond

Just after 1:00 a.m. this morning, Historic City News reporters learned that officers from the St. Augustine Police Department arrested a 22 year-old local man who is being held in lieu of $100,000 appearance bond.

Police have charged Thomas Jordan Byerly, who resides at 3013 First Street in St Augustine, with two counts of lewd or lascivious battery with a person 12 years of age or older, but less than 16 years of age.

Details have been requested from St. Augustine Police Public Information Officer Mark Samson, and, as soon as more information is made available, Historic City News will have an update.
