Two absconders identified in Operation Landshark
The Sheriff’s Office reported to Historic City News that they are attempting to locate two sexual offenders whose last reported address was within St Johns County; however when officers attempted to contact them during a recent multi-agency operation, they could not be found.
The purpose of last week’s “Operation Landshark”, was to make contact with every sexual offender and predator in St. Johns County to verify that they are physically residing at their registered address.
Teams of officers from the US Marshal Service, Florida Department of Corrections – Parole and Probation Office, and sheriff’s deputies completed 229 compliance checks of St Augustine and St Johns County sexual offenders and predators.
The two absconders who were unable to be located at their registered address are:
Matthew Luke Head
Age – 23
Last reported address:
207 La Pasada Cr., Ponte Vedra Beach.Head is 5’10” tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes
Eddie Angel Lopez
Age – 27
Last reported address:
2391 US-1 South, St Augustine.Lopez is 5’6” tall, 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
In addition to the two absconders, three physical arrests were made for “failure to register” and four additional warrants are pending further investigation.
