Paul Williamson, spokesperson for the City of St Augustine, wants Historic City News readers to know that the Second Annual Toys-for-Tots Christmas Train will make its way through the city collecting new toys to help brighten a needy child’s Christmas morning.
The Florida East Coast Railway employees and their families sponsor the passenger train that will stop in eight cities along the route from Jacksonville to Miami — including St. Augustine.
Saturday, December 10, you can bring your donation to the railroad crossing at Sebastian View Way; just west of its intersection with US-1 North at 8:45 a.m. Santa Claus will be aboard the train escorted by representatives of the United States Marine Corps.
