An antique steamer trunk was removed from the rear of a vehicle and stolen according to a report received by Historic City News from St. Augustine Police Corporal Charles Simpson.
On May 4th, sometime between 7:45 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., the property was stolen from a residence on Orange Street in downtown St. Augustine, according to the investigative report.
In addition to the trunk itself, several valuables were stored inside; including antique photographs in albums, stamps and clothing.
Simpson is asking Historic City News readers to be alert for these items and asks that anyone with information concerning this crime or who may know the identity of those involved to contact detectives with the St. Augustine Police Department by calling (904) 209-3484.
