Carly J. Swatek, AmeriCorps Environmental Education Member at Fort Mose Historic State Park, reminds Historic City News readers that those who missed the “Birding for Kids” program at Anastasia State Park last week will get a second chance this Sunday.
These fun, educational programs for kids 8-12 and their parents will begin with a session on how to identify birds followed by a scavenger hunt to find a list of common birds.
Kids will learn about the local birds of the area as well receive a special certificate to follow the program.
The special program will be conducted by a park volunteer at Fort Mose Historic State Park located at 15 Fort Mose Trail in Saint Augustine on Sunday, August 14th, 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Participants should bring binoculars, hat, water and sunscreen. Children must be accompanied by all adult. Please indicate if you would like for us to provide binoculars.
Space is limited to 15 children.
If you have questions or to register please call the park at (904) 823-2232.
