County announces Holiday schedule

The Christmas and New Year’s Holiday schedule for various St Johns County facilities was announced to Historic City News today by Public Information Officer Jeremy Robshaw.

County Offices

All offices of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners will be closed Friday, December23 and Monday, December 26. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, December 27.All offices will also be closed on Monday, January 2, 2012 for the New Year’s Holiday. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2011.

Library

All branches of the St. Johns County Public Library System will close at 6 pm on Thursday, December 22, and will remain closed through Monday, December 26. All branches will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, December 27. All branches will also close at 6 pm on Friday, December 30, and will remain closed until Tuesday, January 3, 2012.

Solid Waste

There will be no change to garbage, recycling or yard debris pickup over the Christmas and New Year Holiday. All collections will be made on their normal day. The scale houses at Tillman Ridge and Stratton Road will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Days only.

Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre will be open every day through January 1, 2012 with special hours on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. On Christmas Day Winter Wonderland will be open from 5-10 pm. Normal hours of operation will resume on Monday, December 26. Winter Wonderland will be open on New Year’s Eve from 12-5 pm and on New Year’s Day from 2to 10 pm. Visit www.WinterWonderlandFlorida.com for complete information.

Pet Center

The St. Johns County Pet Center will be closed Friday, December 23 through Monday, December 26. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, December 27 with Saturday hours on December 31 from 9 am to 3 pm. The Pet Center will also be closed on Monday, January 2, 2012 for the New Year’s Holiday. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.
