Category II Arts/Grant Funding Panel
Three (3) Vacancies
Purpose of Committee: Advisory committee to the St. Johns County Tourist Development Council that makes recommendations regarding funding of Category II Arts, Cultural, and Special Events from Tourist Development Tax revenues.
Qualifications: Must be a resident of St. Johns County.
Meeting schedule: This Board meets quarterly.
Application Submission Deadline: February 18, 2011.
Contractors Review Board
Two (2) Vacancies
Purpose of Committee: Ensure proper administration of contractor licensing and discipline of licensees.
Qualifications: Must be a resident of St. Johns County for at least two years prior to appointment. Seeking licensed Class II professional and a resident not involved in the building industry.
Meeting schedule: This Board meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 5:00pm in the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View.
Application Submission Deadline: February 18, 2011.
Library Advisory Board
One (1) Vacancy
Purpose of Committee: An advisory committee created to advise the County on the establishment, operation and maintenance of free public library service within St. Johns County.
Qualifications: Seeking representation from County Commission District 1.
Meeting schedule: This Board meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 9:30am with the meeting location rotating each month to a specific branch library.
Application Submission Deadline: February 25, 2011.
Planning & Zoning Agency
Two (2) Vacancies
Purpose of Committee: Advisory capacity and recommending body to the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners on matters relating to zoning of land, amendment of Land Development Regulations, Land Use amendments and Major Modifications to Planned Unit Developments and Planned Rural Developments.
Qualifications: Must be a registered voter in St. Johns County. Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting schedule: This Board meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 1:30pm in the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View.

Ponte Vedra Architectural Review Committee
One (1) Vacancy – Alternate Position
Purpose of Committee: Ensure enhanced property development while maintaining and encouraging quality character of design within the Ponte Vedra and Ponte Vedra/Palm Valley Overlay Districts in line with the goals and objectives of the St. Johns County Comprehensive Plan.
Qualifications: Seeking an alternate member residing in the Ponte Vedra Zoning District. Member must be a registered voter in St. Johns County.
Meeting schedule: This Committee meets every 4th Wednesday of each month from 5-8:30pm in the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

Ponte Vedra Zoning & Adjustment Board
One (1) Vacancy
Purpose of Committee: Regulate and restrict the height and size of buildings; to regulate and restrict the intensity of land use; to regulate the area of yards, courts and other space about buildings, to classify, regulate and restrict the location of commerce and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified industrial, commercial, residential and other uses within the Ponte Vedra Zoning District.
Qualifications: Must be a registered voter in St. Johns County and reside in the Ponte Vedra Zoning District. Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting schedule: This Board meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 3:00pm in the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View.

Health & Human Services Advisory Council
Two (2) Vacancies
Purpose of Committee: This Council evaluates human services programs in the community, assists in determining the effectiveness of programs, reduces duplication of services and assures the health and human services needs of the residents of St. Johns County are met. They review applications requesting county funding for programs that provide health, mental health, substance abuse and social services and submit recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners.
Qualifications: Members must be a registered voter in St. Johns County. The members shall be one (1) professional preferably from the disciplines of Health, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, or Social Services and one (1) at-large member, including but not limited to such compatible areas as business, banking and finance, education, law enforcement, religious community leaders, consumers and any other interested parties comprising the general public.
Meeting schedule: This Board meets on-call as needed during application review period and on the next to the last Thursday of each month at 4:30pm in the Mental Health Conference Room, 1955 US 1 South.
