Historic City News readers are encouraged to attend when “Duck Hunter Shoots Angel”, directed by Lorraine Portman, opens this Friday at the Limelight Theatre located at 11 Old Mission Avenue in St Augustine.
New York Times bestselling author Mitch Albom, the author of Tuesdays with Morrie, tells the story of two Alabama duck-hunting brothers who think that they accidentally shot down an angel.
You’ll enjoy this family-friendly, uproarious tale of the pair of hunters as they are pursued by the tabloid media.
As the chase to find the angel builds, the comedy-love story pokes fun at race relations and cultural stereotypes.
Performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. on the Matuza Main Stage from December 2 – December 31, 2011. Preview performance December 1.
Two “Terrific Tuesday” performances are the 6th and 13th with tickets 2 for $25.
There will be a special New Year’s Eve party and performance including BBQ, bubbly and the show for $50. Call (904) 825-1164 to make reservations.
