St. Johns County energy efficiency coordinator Lowry Shuler announced to Historic City News the dates for this month’s free energy efficiency workshops designed to teach commercial contractors and homeowners how to build more efficiently and save money.
The weekly workshop times have changed and are now from 4:00 to 5:00 pm on Thursdays at the wind mitigation building at the University of Florida IFAS Extension, located at 3111 Agricultural Center Drive in St. Augustine.

• Marketing for Energy Auditors, Solar and Performance Contractors – June 9th
• Low Impact Development (LID) – June 16th
• No Workshop Scheduled – June 23rd
• Evaluating Building Energy Performance with Infrared Cameras – June 30th
The free Energy Efficiency Education Series is part of a grant from the Florida Energy & Climate Commission. St. Johns County is one of only 15 counties and municipalities in the entire state that were awarded this competitive grant. Funding is provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 through the Department of Energy.
