Executive Committee meeting change

Chairman Harlan Mason alerted Historic City News this morning that there has been an unavoidable change in location for Thursday’s regular scheduled meeting of the St. Johns County Republican Executive Committee.

Due to a scheduling conflict, the meeting and election will not be held at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport Conference Center as previously announced.

Instead, for this month’s meeting only, committee members will convene at “The Meeting Room” located inside the Ponce de Leon Mall at Center Court on US-1 South.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will start promptly at 7:00 p.m.

We will be conducting the election for State Committeeman. At this point there are four announced candidates:

Randy Covington
Stephen Kira
Bob Smith
Jon Woodard

We need a quorum to conduct this meeting. Please make sure you attend, this is a critical meeting.

Randy Covington can provide assistance in locating the temporary meeting locations by calling 904.347.2866. Covington reported that he and other officers will be outside greeting people and directing them in.
