Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
County Road 13 at Sixteen Mile Creek: Daytime lane closures Monday, November 21 and Tuesday, November 22 for construction activities. The speed limit in this area has been reduced to 40 mph.
State Road 13 from Cunningham Creek Bridge to Race Track Road: Nighttime lane closures from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Monday, November 21 and Tuesday, November 22 for resurfacing the roadway. Possible lane closures Wednesday, November 23 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. also for resurfacing.
State Road 16 from the Clay County line to San Marco Avenue: Daytime lane closures Monday, November 21 through Wednesday, November 23 while crews repaint the roadway markings.
State Road 206 from State Road 207 to State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures Monday, November 21 through Wednesday, November 23 while crews repaint the roadway markings.
State Road 207 at County Road 305: Possible daytime lane closures Monday, November 21 and Tuesday, November 22 for delivery of equipment and materials to construct a multi-use trail from the end of the existing trail to Armstrong Road.
State Road 207 at Lightsey Road: Daytime northbound lane closure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, November 21 while Florida Power & Light crews relocate a power pole.
State Road A1A – Bridge of Lions: Motorists may encounter temporary delays and flagging operations at the Bridge of Lions Saturday, November 19 between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and Sunday, November 20 between 7 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. as 5k, 10k and marathon runners are escorted across the bridge. Temporary lane closures to accommodate runners along State Road A1A east of the Bridge of Lions should also be anticipated.
State Road A1A – Summer Haven Bridges (just north of Marineland): Motorists should drive with caution through the construction area. The speed limit in this area has been reduced to 40 mph.
State Road A1A from the Flagler County line to Avenida Menendez: Daytime lane closures Monday, November 21 through Wednesday, November 23 while crews repaint the roadway markings, excluding the construction zone in Summer Haven.
State Road A1A from the Flagler County line to Summer Haven (Sea Wall): Daytime lane closures Monday, November 21 and Tuesday, November 22 for guardrail installation and to allow for delivery of equipment and materials.
US 1 at the San Sebastian River Bridge from Saragossa Street to King Street: Possible nighttime lane closures from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. in both directions Monday, November 21, Tuesday, November 22 and Friday, November 25. Possible nighttime lane closures Wednesday, November 23 from 7:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. All work is related to the US 1 San Sebastian River Bridge replacement project.
