Jeremy Robshaw alerted Historic City News reporters that firefighters and paramedics received an E-911 call reporting a fire in one of the guest rooms at the St. Augustine Beachfront Resort located at 300 A1A Beach Boulevard.
The call came in just before lunch yesterday, according to Robshaw. “Crews arrived to a working fire in one of the rooms,” Robshaw said. For safety, “all unit occupants were evacuated.”
Rescue transported one female victim with non-life-threatening injuries attributed to smoke inhalation related to the blaze. She was, “in stable condition” according to the incident report.
“Firefighters made entry and rapidly extinguished the commercial structure fire — containing it to the one guest room,” Robshaw said.
Robshaw told Historic City News that the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
