Jeremy Robshaw, Public Information Officer with St. Johns County Fire Rescue, informed Historic City News local reporters that emergency personnel responded to a residential structure fire in Flagler Estates in the wee-hours of the morning.
Six residents evacuated their mobile home located on Benedict Street after being alerted by the smoke alarm, Robshaw told Historic City News.
According to Robshaw, the E-911 call came in around 4:15 a.m. as a “heavily involved mobile home” and firefighters from both St. Johns County Fire Rescue and Putnam County Fire Department responded.
The occupants are displaced and currently being assisted with temporary housing by the American Red Cross.
Robshaw said, “The structure is listed as a total loss with the cause currently under investigation.”
