Flagler College Scholarship Ball

Posted on 11/17/2011 By Historic City News

What better place to be when the clock strikes 12 on New Year’s Eve than surrounded by historic elegance at Flagler College’s Scholarship Ball?

Set in the former Ponce de Leon Hotel’s Dining Hall, the Scholarship Ball will give revelers the chance to mingle amid the same opulent Tiffany glass windows and magnificent murals that once entertained the likes of former president Teddy Roosevelt, Will Rogers, John D. Rockefeller and Henry Flagler himself.

Hosted by the President’s Society of Flagler College, the ball begins at 8 p.m. Dec. 31 and concludes at 1 a.m. Patrons can enjoy an evening of elegance complete with live music by The Company, cocktails, delectable hors d’oeuvres and dessert bites throughout the night culminating in a champagne toast at midnight.

Tickets for the Scholarship Ball are $365 per couple and black tie is required. Thirty percent of the cost is a tax-deductible donation and benefits the Flagler College Scholarship Fund. Seating is limited so call today for an invitation or reservation.

Ponce de Leon Hall is at 74 King St. in St. Augustine. For more information call (904) 819-6282
