Flags lowered to half-staff

General Counsel Rick Figlio informed Historic City News that Governor Rick Scott has requested, as a mark of respect for the victims of the tragic events of January 8, 2011, in Tucson, Arizona, that all state flags immediately be lowered to half-staff, returning them to full-staff at sunset, January 14, 2011.

The President has ordered that the flag of the United States be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, military posts, and naval stations throughout the United States, and at all embassies, consular offices, and other United States facilities abroad, until sunset, Friday, January 14, 2011.
