State Attorney R.J. Larizza announced to Historic City News that he will co-host a public records and Government in the Sunshine seminar on Friday in St. Augustine.
The seminar, which is free and open to the public, is designed to help people who work in government understand Florida’s public records law. The purpose, organizers said, is to help “avoid unintended violations” of the Sunshine Law.
A panel discussion will be led by Larizza, who is state attorney for the 7th Judicial Circuit, which includes Volusia, Flagler, Putnam and St. Johns counties.
Other panelists include Rod Sullivan, a law professor at Florida Coastal School of Law, David Migut, an assistant county attorney for St. Johns County, and Margo C. Pope, editorial page editor of the St. Augustine Record.
The seminar will be from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the St. Johns County Administration Palace, 500 San Sebastian View in St. Augustine.
