Local government holiday closings

The Independence Day schedule for various St. Johns County and City of St. Augustine facilities was reported to Historic City News:

County Offices

All offices of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners will be closed on Monday, July 4th. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, July 5th.

Library

All branches of the St. Johns County Public Library System will be closed on Monday, July 4th. All branches will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, July 5th.

Solid Waste

There will be no change to garbage, recycling or yard debris pickup on Independence Day. All collections will be made on their normal schedule.

Pet Center

The St. Johns County Pet Center will be closed on Monday, July 4th. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, July 5th.

All offices of the City of St. Augustine, 75 King St., will be closed Monday, July 4, to celebrate Independence Day.

All City offices will re-open at 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 5.

All solid waste and recycling pickup will be as regularly scheduled.
