City of Bunnell Office Assistant, Christine Hancock, told Historic City News that her City is calling all volunteers, citizens, businesses, groups, clubs and organizations to participate in the second annual “Beautify Bunnell” project.
This event will be held on April 30th from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and will conclude with a Hot Dog luncheon.
“Habitat for Humanity is lending a hand by recycling rides, pre-registering and collecting unwanted cars,” Hancock said. “We are in need of volunteers, groups, businesses and individuals to come out and make this city beautiful.”
Participants will meet at Edward Johnson Park in Bunnell at 401 E. Court Street.
The Bunnell Chamber of Commerce is supporting the beautification effort, together with the City of Bunnell CRA. The local Chamber is a unit of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce and its affiliates.
The Chamber is comprised of local businesses that support one another and raise funds for educational need-based scholarships. The organization hosts quarterly “Business & Biscuits” networking breakfasts, the Ride for Education poker run each spring and, in conjunction with the City of Bunnell, the Potato Festival in May.
“So, take a stand and lend a hand,” Hancock told Historic City News. “Let’s move our feet and clean up our streets.”
