Teen Flower Fairy Flip-Flops
Monday, August 1 @ 3 pm – Get in touch with your inner fashion diva this summer. Bring your own flip-flops, and give them a magical new look with lots of style. All supplies will be provided to create your personalized pair of flower fairy flip-flops! Enjoy fruity sherbet floats while you craft your colorful fairies!

Kids Summer Reading Program: “Ice Cream Sundae Party”
Tuesday, Aug. 2 @ 2 pm – Finish off our 2011 summer reading program with this sweet, cool time. Enjoy a make-your-own ice cream sundae on us, as well as a special visit from the City of St. Augustine Fire Department. A fun time for the whole family! Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Self Hypnosis Workshop
Tuesday, August 2 @ 6 pm – Kick the smoking habit, see the pounds melt away, lower your blood pressure, and reduce your stress. You don’t have to take an expensive vacation to escape the day-to-day grind. Come learn the priceless and effective benefits of self-hypnosis. This FREE workshop is presented by American Hypnosis Association certified Hypnotist, James P. Hilton, of the Hilton Hypnosis Center of St. Augustine.

J.A.A.M. (Japanese Anime at Main)
Tuesday, August 8 @ 5 pm – Tweens, teens, and young twenty-somethings are invited to the monthly meeting of our new anime club, where you can meet others with similar interests. We’ll be viewing assorted Anime and enjoying Japanese candy. Feel free to wear a costume if you’d like and J.A.A.M with us!

Be a Nature Detective: “Butterflies… For KIDS”
Tuesday, August 16 @ 11 am & 2 pm – All children age 5-11 are invited to this blooming “make and take!” Kids will learn how to make child-friendly, creative floral arrangements, the science of pollination, and a butterfly detective journal! Author Carol O’Dell will share strategies for connecting with readers and businesses. You’ll learn what to do before, during and after your book’s release, how to impress publishers, and how to build relationships with the reading community. Adult BINGO for Books
Thursday, August 25 @ 3:30 pm – Do you love free books and playing Bingo? Come out, make new friends, and win adult fiction and non-fiction books by playing Bingo! Everyone is guaranteed to go home with at least one free book. Book prizes are generously donated by the Friends of the Library! Everyone is welcome and it’s FREE!
Adult Book Club: “Dream State”
