Carolyn Mudgette reported to Historic City News that the Vintage Chapter of the motorcycle rights organization, ABATE of Florida, Inc. and VFW Post 2931, will sponsor “Ride for our Future” to benefit Communities in schools of St. Johns.
Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday June 18, 2011 at the VFW Post located on US-1 South. Kick stands up 10:00 a.m.
The $10 per person registration fee includes a free T-Shirt for the first 50 riders.
Food and drinks will be available at the VFW Post until 3:00 p.m. During the day, test your poker skills in a $5 per hand game of Texas Hold’m or get in on a 50/50 Raffle.
The Gypsy Run will leave VFW on US-1 South to OUR Center in Hastings, Outback Crab Shack, Paula’s Beachside Grill, Giggling Gator then return to VFW.
All proceeds go to Communities in Schools of St. Johns sponsored programs. By channeling community support directly to kids at schools, the organization supports student success, eases the burden on schools and frees teachers to teach.
