Sailors, Paddlers and Rowers of St. Augustine advocate, Jay Bliss, invited Historic City News readers to stop by Saturday between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., “or thereabouts”, and hop on a small sailboat.
“This is the first of many Sailing Saturdays, with weeklong summer sailing camps offered for youngsters,” Bliss told Historic City News this morning. “If you’re also a sailor, or, especially if you have sailing children, meet us at Anastasia State Park today.”
According to Bliss, if you tell the State Park ranger that you are going to Anastasia Water Sports to participate in the Sailors, Paddlers and Rowers of St. Augustine event, the regular entrance fee will be waived.
Bliss, who is also a Port and Waterway Commissioner, explained that in order to sail, you must sign a liability waiver.
“Consider becoming a member of Sailors, Paddlers and Rowers of St. Augustine,” Bliss said. “It is well worth the $35 annual dues.”
