Posted on 06/10/201106/12/2011 By Historic City News

Mary Rose Taylor will discuss her effort to rescue and restore the Margaret Mitchell House in Atlanta tomorrow, Saturday, June 11th at 3:00 p.m. at the Anastasia Island Branch of the St. Johns County Public Library.

Taylor is a twenty-year veteran of broadcast journalism, responsible for several award winning films for CBS, PBS and BBC.

St. Augustine City Commissioner Nancy Sikes-Kline told Historic City News, “I had a chance to hear her amazing story … truly compelling and inspiring!”

Taylor will be in St. Augustine to participate in the dedication of a monument at the newly re-named Andrew Young Crossing tomorrow morning.

As mayor of Atlanta, Andrew Young was supportive of Ms. Taylor’s efforts to save the Mitchell House.
