Sexual Predator: James Lee Lyons

In accordance with Florida State Statute 775.21, this news release will serve as public notification that the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has been given information that a person judged to be a sexual predator is changing residence within St. Johns County.

The name of the sexual predator is James Lee Lyons.

He will be residing at 437 Gloria St. Lyons.

Lyons is a white male, 50 years old, 5’7” tall, 150 pounds, has black hair and blue eyes. Lyons was convicted on charges of attempted sexual battery on a child and sexual act with a child while in a familiar role in 1998.

The incident occurred in January 1997 in St. Johns County.

He received a prison sentence of over 13 years following a plea agreement.

He was released from prison on June 14, 2011 then was living in the woods off SR-207, south of Holmes Boulevard and north of Lightsey Road.

The public can also access information about all sexual predators in the state via the Internet, where the FDLE has a website. The address of the website is www.fdle.state.fl.us. Information is also available via a toll-free number to FDLE: 1-888-FLPREDATOR.
