Jesse Elorde Ramirez shot two men at his residence located at 1040 SR-16 in Saint Augustine last night, according to an arrest report filed with the Historic City News desk just after midnight.

Ramirez is in custody, without bond, charged with the capital felony murder of a tow truck operator who came to his home to repossess his vehicle. The victim was dead at the scene.

A passenger in the tow truck was airlifted to Shands Jacksonville Trauma Center with critical gunshot injuries. According to reports, the passenger is still alive and deputies have charged 51 year-old Ramirez with an additional first degree felony in the attack.

Ramirez will make his first appearance before a judge this morning.
