Gary Bruce invited St. Augustine and St. Johns County Historic City News readers to attend a special tribute event honoring our local veterans and the sacrifices made by our ex-prisoners of war.
During the afternoon tribute and other included activities, the documentary film, “Prisoners Of War: Stolen Freedom”, will have its premiere showing.
Doors open at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday November 6th, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Anastasia Baptist Church located at 1650 A1A South (north of SR-312 on A1A) in St. Augustine.
“Thanks go to Anastasia Baptist Church for hosting this community event,” Bruce told Historic City News. “Because of their generosity, there is no admission charge and parking is free.”
The Event Includes:
• Travelling Vietnam Memorial Wall
• Remembrance Ceremony — Rolling Thunder
• Patriotic Songs — Dr. Roger Geronimo
• Local Ex-POW’s to speak
The programs are presented by Allied Veterans of the World, Inc. and Affiliates, Florida Veterans Programs and Projects, Inc., and the St. Johns County Veterans Council.
