Wilson dealership contribution recognized
According to an announcement received by Historic City News today, St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar, along with Sergeant Ron Faircloth, presented a plaque to Brian Wilson recognizing the Jack Wilson dealership for their contribution to the Police Unity Tour.
The tour traveled some 250 miles from Portsmouth, Virginia to the Nation’s Capital, in time for the National Police Memorial Day ceremony this year.
Faircloth and Deputy Jack Brush were able to participate in this year’s Police Unity Tour because of Wilson’s local contribution.
The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour, which began in 1997, is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum.
