Winter Wonderland reopens tomorrow

Historic City News readers will want to visit the St Augustine Amphitheatre tomorrow when “Winter Wonderland” reopens, adding a touch of ice and snow to the Christmas season.

Now in its fifth year, Winter Wonderland offers ice skating, reindeer games, an ice slide, Elf Village and rides on the Frost Kingdom Express Train among other activities.

Snowfalls, a ski lounge, S’more Pit, sleigh rides and Santa are part of each night’s activities.

Admission is free, but some activities are ticketed:

St. Augustine’s only outdoor skating rink returns this season.
COST: $10.00 to skate / $2.00 for skate rental
*Ice rink will close for 30-45 minutes every afternoon for ice resurfacing.*
All participants under the age of 18 must have a signed waiver by a Parent/Guardian

•The Igloo Ski Lounge
Enjoy a beverage in front of the fire or while loafing in one of our oversized couches in the Igloo Ski Lounge while watching your kids skate via the live feed on the big screen TV. Access to the observation deck is also available should you need to talk to someone on the ice.
*The Igloo Ski Lounge is ages 21 and up only

•Ice Slide
Experience thrills and chills with the Ice Slide! Race down a slide covered in ice or challenge your friends to see who is the fastest.
MUST BE AT LEAST 42” TO RIDE
COST: $3.00 for one slide / $10.00 for 4 slides
*Ice slide may be closed for 30-45 minutes each afternoon for ice resurfacing*
All participants under the age of 18 must have a signed waiver by a Parent/Guardian

•Frost Kingdom Express Train
New Frost Kingdom themed train ride just for kids! The train is located right outside the North Pole and loops past the Elf Village and Ice Slide while circling under a canopy of lights.
COST: $3.00 per ride

•Blizzard Bounce/Obstacle Course
The Blizzard Bounce House and Obstacle Course for kids ages 12 and under is also available. Located just outside the Elf Village and near the Ice Slide, the Bounce House is a chance for the younger kids to play while the older ones slide the night away!

•The Elf Village
This unique and magical interactive experience is great for kids! Explore a variety of elf houses, each with their own unique details!

•Visits from Santa (through 12/24)
Kids of all ages are welcome to come out and visit with Santa Claus! Don’t forget to bring your wish list and drop it off for Santa in our oversized North Pole mailbox!
COST: Free
HOURS: Every evening from 5:00pm-8:30pm through December 24th
*Please be aware on busy nights the line may close by 8:00pm for Santa to leave for the North Pole at 8:30pm

•Sleigh Rides
Take a horse drawn carriage ride through an enchanted winter forest. Experience nature as you travel down trails decorated with holiday scenes and plenty of twinkling lights!
COST: $10.00 for Adults / $5.00 for Children 12 and under
HOURS: Available nightly from 6:00pm-10:00pm
*Tickets available CASH ONLY at SLEIGH RIDE TICKET BOOTH, located adjacent to loading area near entrance*

•Games
Put your skills to the test at Winter Wonderland’s fun winter carnival games. Everybody WINS!!
COST: $2.00 per game

•Snow
Every night experience snow in Florida as the Amphitheatre turns into a Winter Wonderland.
