The St. Johns Cultural Council announced to Historic City News local reporters that they would hold an open forum for the Arts, Culture and Heritage Community and those who are interested in finding out more about the new happenings within the organization.
The meeting convenes on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the Prosperity Bank located at 790 North Ponce de Leon Boulevard in St Augustine.
Leading the agenda will be an introduction of the new Executive Director, Andrew Witt.
A presentation will be made explaining the role of the Cultural Council in supporting Arts, Culture and Heritage organizations, events, and economic growth in the community.
A discussion of the Arts, Culture and Heritage – Category II grants programs will follow; including information sharing and preliminary policy issues.
John Regan, Manager of the City of St Augustine, will offer a presentation on the plans for the 450th commemoration.
The meeting will conclude with a presentation by the Visitors Convention Bureau staff regarding how their partner relationship with the St Johns Cultural Council influences the field.
