Body recovered life-saving measures attempted

Jet Gonzales, the 2-year-old missing boy has been located in a pond near his residence.

St Johns County Fire Rescue performed advanced measures in an attempt to save his life after officials say he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was transported to Baptist South hospital at the last update.

The child was located near his home in Sandy Creek subdivision on CR-210 with the assistance of Jacksonville Sheriff’s bloodhounds who tracked the boy.

Gonzales is diagnosed with Downs Syndrome, according to Corporal Catherine Payne.
