This evening, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Stadium Village adjacent to the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse, Historic City News has learned that an “invitation only” business reception with Governor Rick Scott would be held for local, state, national and international business leaders attending THE PLAYERS Championship this week.
The St Johns County Chamber of Commerce and it’s Economic Development Council, the St Johns County Board of County Commissioners and County Administration, the St Johns County Tourist Development Council, the City of St Augustine, and Enterprise Florida have joined the St Johns County Industrial Development Authority and AT&T, as a private sector partner, to present this evening’s event.
“THE PLAYERS is the single largest event in St. Johns County and brings an unprecedented economic impact to the region,” said Peter Apol, Industrial Development Authority chairman. “It is critical that we use this opportunity to target key business leaders and showcase the benefits of doing business in St Johns County — not doing so would be a tremendous missed opportunity to promote future job growth and business development.”
At the reception, the Industrial Development Authority and its co-hosts will share how St Johns County is “business ready” and will promote a one-stop resource for business information and assistance on the Internet — www.stjohnscountybusinessready.com
Former Authority chairman, and organizer of today’s event, Jim Browning, said this business reception will provide the opportunity for members of our industrial development community to build relationships with industry leaders — who may consider expanding or relocating to St Johns County.”
