Historic City News readers are invited to attend without charge and participate in a celebration of our Colonial Spanish heritage when the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument hosts a 1740′ Spanish Living History Day on Saturday, September 29.
All 1740 Spanish interpretations are welcome to participate in cannon firings, military drill, and marching demonstrations.

Spanish Living History Day, a National Public Lands Day, will feature period soldiers, sailors, civilians, women and children who will come out to celebrate St Augustine’s significant Hispanic heritage from as many perspectives as possible.
