US Department of the Interior, National Park Service Superintendent Gordie Wilson announced to Historic City News local reporters today that Fort Matanzas National Monument would host two open house meetings for the public to learn about and comment on its Draft General Management Plan.
The General Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement establishes fundamental goals and objectives for the park with regard to protecting and preserving its natural and cultural resources and for providing visitor services and achieving desired visitor experiences.
The meetings will be held at the Lohman Auditorium of the Whitney Lab for Marine Bioscience at Marineland, Wilson told reporters. “The National Park Service invites and welcomes the participation and input of the public at these open house meetings.”
