Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
King Street (State Road 5A): Motorists will encounter temporary road closures from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, between Sevilla Street and Avenida Menendez for the Velo Fest Old City Criterium cycling festival. Additional city streets to be closed during this time include Cathedral Place, Cordova Street, Valencia Street and Sevilla Street. Motorists may use Bridge Street and Riberia Street as alternate routes.
San Marco Avenue (State Road 5A):Daytime lane closures from Ponce De Leon Boulevard (US 1) to Picolata Road (State Road 16) Monday through Thursday while crews repaint the roadway markings.
State Road 206: Daytime lane closures from State Road 207 to State Road A1A Monday through Thursday while crews repaint the roadway markings.
State Road 207: Possible daytime shoulder closures Monday through Friday for delivery of equipment and materials to construct a multi-use trail from the end of the existing trail in Elkton to Armstrong Road.
State Road 312: Traffic has been shifted on the eastbound lanes of the Mickler-O’Connell Bridge over the Matanzas River. Motorists should use caution while driving in the area as crews prepare to repair and repaint the bridge. Pedestrians are advised to avoid the east bridge.
State Road 312: Nighttime westbound lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. from US 1 to Old Moultrie Road for turn lane construction by St. Johns County. Questions may be directed to Project Manager Greg Caldwell in the St. Johns County Engineering Division at (904) 209-0132 orgcaldwell@sjcfl.us.
State Road 312: Daytime lane closures from State Road A1A to US 1 Monday through Thursday while crews repaint the roadway markings, excluding the construction zone on the State Road 312/Mickler-O’Connell Bridge.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from State Road 206 to Owens Avenue Monday through Thursday for shoulder repairs.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures from the Flagler County line to Avenida Menendez Monday through Thursday while crews repaint the roadway markings.
US 1: Nighttime lane closures from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. in both directions Monday through Friday at the San Sebastian River Bridge from Saragossa Street to King Street for the bridge replacement project, including delivery of beams Wednesday and Thursday nights.
