Another candidate has entered the race for St Augustine City Commission Seat 1 — bringing to three the total number of opponents who will face incumbent Errol D Jones for re-election.
Roxanne Horvath, the 60 year-old South Street resident, is president and partner in CRG Architects/Planners in St Augustine. She filed papers with Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes announcing her candidacy for the highly contested race earlier today.
Horvath is past president of the St Augustine Rotary Club and has served the community as a member of the board of St Augustine Women’s Shelter.
In 1990, she was employed as the resident architect for the City of St Augustine and worked on the Alcazar Hotel renovation and restoration. She has served on the city’s Historical Architectural Review Board, was a member of the Planning and Zoning Board, as well as the St Augustine Housing Revitalization Agency.
