Dawn Hamilton reported to Historic City News that her son is one of nine boys from the Hastings area that are trying to salvage local Cub Scout Pack 502, and she has asked for support from our readers with the sale of their discount “Camp Cards”.
“Camp Cards” are sold by the scouts to raise funds to pay for campouts and other scouting activities.
“Recently, through no fault of their own, the boys lost all their funds,” Hamilton told Historic City News. “Now, with new leadership, we hope to raise enough money to keep the pack going for these boys.”
The discount cards can be used at multiple locations such as Publix, CiCi’s, Chili’s, Tropical Smoothie, Old City Subs, Brucci, Amici, PF Chang, The Players, Moe’s, as well as Turner Pest Control.
Some discounts are “one-time use” while others can be used multiple times during the remainder of 2012.
“We haven’t been able to secure any store fronts where the boys could sell the Camp Cards,” Cubmaster Hamilton told reporters. “Readers may contact me at (386)325-3202 to make arrangements.”
