Images of suspected Ponte Vedra Beach burglar

Kevin Kelshaw, Media Relations Officer for the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office, updated Historic City News with additional evidence that has been developed in the October 2 burglary of an apartment on Ironwood Drive in Ponte Vedra Beach; hoping one of our readers may have information that would assist property crimes detectives.

A large number of coins, a computer, and several credit cards were stolen from the apartment while the owner was away. The victim discovered the missing items when he returned home from work at about 5:15 p.m.

“Grainy images of the suspect were captured at the apartment complex,” Kelshaw told Historic City News today. “He is a white, male, possibly 30-40 years-old, driving a green, late 1990’s to early 2000’s Toyota Camry.”

According to the incident report, investigators determined that entry to the apartment was made through the front door, using a key.

One of the stolen credit cards appeared at a Jacksonville gas station, where the transaction, a better image of the vehicle, and its occupant, was captured on surveillance video.
