City of St Augustine Beach Commissioner, Undine Pawlowski, informed Historic City News local reporters that at the May meeting of the Beach commission, on Monday, May 7th at 7:00 p.m. at St Augustine Beach City Hall, a time would be set for the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Ocean Hammock Park.
“The parking lot for the park opened last Saturday,” Pawlowski said. “The park will be open every day, from sunrise to sunset.”
Other topics of interest on the agenda include consideration of outdoor dining for local restaurants, continued discussions on the former building department office at pier park, development of the community garden, draft ordinances regarding storage containers, parking of tractor-trailers, and RV’s, as well as consideration of using City Hall conference room space for Town Hall meetings.
Pawlowski also noted that she will hold her next Town Hall meeting on May 31st, at 6:00 p.m. at the Anastasia Island public library. “The meeting set for May 4th has been cancelled,” the commissioner said.
