Odd Fellows lodge makes donation to Gideons

Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Nobel Grand Gary Howell, recently presented a donation on behalf of Palmetto Lodge No 25, to The Gideons International; an early American organization dedicated to Christian evangelism.

The $125.00 donation of funds will be used, in its entirety, to print and distribute 100 new bibles.

“The objective of Odd Fellows, which is one of the oldest fraternal organizations in the United States, is to improve and elevate the character of mankind,” Howell told Historic City News. “The Three Link Fraternity is striving to make the world a better place in which to live.”

Palmetto Lodge No 25, located in St Augustine, is a non-profit 501(c)(8) fraternal beneficiary society established in 1972.
