Historic City News has learned that tomorrow morning; the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice Community Network and Chaplaincy Services would hold an educational forum for workers in St Johns County’s faith and community-based programs geared towards young people and their families.
All faith leaders, faith-based volunteers, juvenile justice leaders and anyone interested in serving troubled youth are encouraged to participate Friday, September 14 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Solomon Calhoun Center located at 1300 Duval Street in St Augustine.
Andy Hindman told reporters that the program is entitled “Our Children, Our Future” and will be presented by the 7th Judicial Circuit office of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
The program concludes at 2:00 p.m., and the $5 admission fee includes the cost of all materials and a prepared lunch.
The Faith Forum will connect resources, highlight best practices, and provide training to enhance the success of programs that serve youth and raise awareness of issues affecting our youth and their families.
