Detectives are reporting to Historic City News that the wife of Flagler Beach police patrolman was airlifted Friday evening to the trauma center at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach after she suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.
According to the incident report, the shooting occurred at the west Flagler County home of Robert MacDonald; although details of the incident are still under investigation at this time and have not been released.
The shooting is being investigated by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
MacDonald remained hospitalized today, according to the investigative report. The incident is believed to have occurred at about 6:33 p.m. at the MacDonald home.
