St Johns County poll workers have historically maintained the integrity of the early voting and Election Day process; and, last week, the Florida Senate joined Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes in recognizing their commitment to assisting their fellow citizens.
On February 23rd the Florida Senate adopted Senate Resolution 1296; commending individuals who serve as election day officials at the polling places throughout Florida.
The Supervisors of Elections in Florida rely upon poll workers to assist them in administering elections. Poll workers were acknowledged for their outstanding service and dedication.
Attached with a copy of the signed Senate Resolution, Oakes conveyed her deep appreciation to all local poll workers — telling them, “It is only by your efforts that our mission to conduct elections in a manner that assures public confidence in the accuracy, efficiency, and fairness of the election process is accomplished.”
Oakes describes her local poll workers as “ambassadors” of the Supervisor of Elections who are extraordinarily committed to each election.
