The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Section is searching for a male assailant who attacked a female jogger just before dusk yesterday evening and they are asking Historic City News readers for their help.
The victim was attacked in the area of Old Moultrie Road; just north of Lewis Point Road.
She struggled with the suspect and was able to break free then alert a passing motorist — who stopped to render aid and called 9-1-1.
The victim was transported to Flagler Hospital, where she was treated and released for minor injuries.
Initial indications are that the attack may have been sexually motivated.
The attacker is described to be in his early to mid 40’s, is a white male with dark, unkempt hair, facial hair, wearing a white shirt, black jogging pants, and white shorts underneath.
