Last week while most Historic City News readers were with family and friends observing Thanksgiving, several incidents of gun violence were occurring in St Johns County according to reports received this morning.
During one incident that occurred shortly before 10:00 p.m. last Tuesday, unknown persons drove a vehicle through the area of Christopher and Aiken Streets and discharged a firearm several times.
No one was reported injured during this incident and deputies located a shell casing in the area, but were unable to locate any witnesses near the scene.
Another incident occurred shortly after 12:00 a.m. last Wednesday at a residence in the 400 block of South Nassau Street. Several shots struck an occupied residence however there were no injuries reported.
Responding deputies met with the victims at the time and were able to process some evidence related to the shootings.
At this time it is unknown if the two incidents are related and detectives would like to speak with any witnesses to these events.
