Carla Traister, informed Historic City News reporters that The Sheltering Tree would hold a “Steps to Success” fundraiser on Sunday, September 16, at the Hammock Community Center located at 79 Malacompra Road in the Hammock.
The Sheltering Tree, a service of the Flagler County Family Assistance Center, is a non-profit coalition of individuals, faith based communities, and service organizations located in Bunnell.
Tickets for the charitable, fundraising event cost $25.00 and they include a luncheon served at 1:00 p.m. followed with dance performances by the Flagler School of Dance, The Enchanted Caravan, Northeast Florida Academy of Dance, Hanalei Dancers and the Mia Bella Academy Dancers, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
The Sheltering Tree is dedicated to feeding the hungry, providing temporary shelter to those who are homeless as well as helping to prevent at-risk individuals from becoming homeless. The program also provides assistance with the transition from temporary housing to permanent, affordable housing.
