Advanced Disposal, an integrated environmental service company, announced to Historic City News today that it will locate its corporate headquarters in St Johns County; after an extensive location search that included metropolitan areas such as Atlanta, Charlotte and Milwaukee.
According to Advanced Disposal, the move is expected to create 85 new jobs and include a capital investment of approximately 4 million dollars.
“We are very excited that Advanced Disposal has selected St Johns County as their corporate home,” Kirk Wendland, President of the St Johns County Chamber of Commerce, said. “This is evidence that St Johns County is gaining momentum as a destination for elite businesses.”
The company will be leasing approximately 56,000 square feet effective today. The building was built in 2009 and has been classified as a Category 5 hurricane strength building with state-of-the-art information technology wiring infrastructure and all furnishings already in place to allow for immediate occupancy.
It is located in Nocatee, a mixed development community on the St. Johns and Duval County line.
The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Council is one of the partner organizations that works diligently to bring new jobs to the area. Other economic development partners include St. Johns County, the Industrial Development Authority, Northeast Florida Regional Airport, the City of St. Augustine, Enterprise Florida, the Tourist Development Council, and St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra and the Beaches Visitors and Conventions Bureau.
