Vilano Beach Sunset Celebration

Tomorrow, Saturday August 4, from 3:00 p.m. until dusk, Historic City News readers are invited to join dozens of market vendors and Town Center businesses at the Vilano Beach Sunset Celebration at the Vilano Beach Pier.

The monthly First Saturday celebration will include music, unusual and unique crafts on display. Come by boat, bicycle, and vehicle or on foot to enjoy the camaraderie and unique wares and talents of area artisans and musicians on the Pier at sunset.

The August event precedes the Florida Pro-Am International Skim Board Tournament; set for August 24, 25, and 26th. This is a great opportunity to scope out the area.

“Every event seems to be getting stronger and more fun — we are looking forward to planning more exciting events to complement our gorgeous scenic and recreational activities,” proclaims Vivian Browning, community organizer for the area. “Little by little folks who are just learning about our revived community are coming back to visit.”

Funding for the Vilano Beach Town Center public infrastructure improvements has been made possible through the utilization of the County’s Community Redevelopment Agency tax increment financing, Industrial Development Authority bonds, state grants and other sources.
