Administrative Coordinator Rosemarie Frey was selected by the committee as the Department Employee of the Year.
As long as most can remember, Rosemarie has faithfully served this Department in a manner that routinely exceeds her job description. She is often referred to as “the glue that holds Fire Rescue together”. Rosemarie has a tremendous amount of dedication and commitment towards this Department and her actions, on a daily basis positively impact our Operations.
She is one of the many under recognized members who put in 110% towards the forward progression of our Organization. Rosemarie is always available to help, and somehow, always has the answer. She is never noted as being cross or with poor attitude. She is always positive and upbeat. She consistently delivers. Much like the view the general public has of the fire department, you can count on Rosemarie to either have the answers or to facilitate the answers. Rosemarie exemplifies what is means to serve and her ongoing contributions are essential to the efficient operation of the department at large.
According to Battalion Chief Brian Yeoman, “Rosemarie remains positive and cheerful at all times and I can confidently say I have never heard her utter a negative comment about others or the department. Rosemarie epitomizes the characteristics that St. Johns County Fire Rescue strives for in both its work ethic and mission statement. She demonstrates professionalism, organization and congeniality at levels unmatched by most.”
Rosemarie will be formally presented with the award at an annual Department Awards ceremony scheduled for Thursday, December 12th at 5pm. The ceremony will be held at the St Johns County Auditorium.
