Saint Augustine Tea Party Chairman, Lance Thate, has invited all Historic City News readers to attend their Tuesday evening meeting when St Augustine Chief of Police, Loran Lueders, will address security in the face of the recent Boston Marathon bombings.
The meeting begins with a social at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, a few opening comments by the Chairman, and then the Chief will go on shortly before 7:00 p.m.
“Obviously, a well-informed public is our best defense against terrorist attacks,” Thate told local Historic City News reporters. “It is important that all local residents be kept up to date on what they can do to help.”
The meeting will be held at the Village Inn, located at 900 North Ponce de Leon Boulevard in St Augustine. There is no charge to attend; food and beverage service is at your expense. “Please attend this important presentation, and bring a friend,” Thate said.
