The Seventh Judicial Circuit has invited Historic City News readers to be part of an important celebration when Florida Representative Ronald “Doc” Renuart of Ponte Vedra Beach, is keynote speaker during the upcoming graduation ceremony of the St Johns County Juvenile Drug Court program on November 20th.
The ceremony will feature the 11th and 12th graduates for the program and the first graduation of two or more juveniles to successfully complete the program simultaneously since its inception in 2010.
“Upon successful completion of the four-phase program and successful completion of probation, a juvenile can have the charges which brought them to Drug Court dismissed,” according to today’s announcement from court administration spokesperson, Ludmilla Lelis.
St Johns County Circuit Judge, Clyde E. Wolfe, is the presiding judge for this special ceremony.
If you are planning to attend, the commencement will take place on Wednesday, November 20th at 4:30 p.m. in Courtroom 355 of the St Johns County Courthouse in the Richard O. Watson Judicial Center; located at 4010 Lewis Speedway in St Augustine.
The St Johns County Juvenile Drug Court program is designed to facilitate the treatment and rehabilitation of eligible juvenile offenders with known substance-abuse problems. It is a voluntary program in which the juvenile must make regular court appearances before the judge and must undergo random drug testing, substance abuse treatment, and supervision by a probation officer.
