Flatbed truck engulfed in flame at local business park

400-312-BUSINESS-PARK-TRUCKThis morning at approximately 8:30 a.m. St Johns County Fire Rescue reported to Historic City News that crews responded to a commercial vehicle fire on Lakeside Avenue in the business park across from Cobblestone Village Shopping Center.

First responders reported seeing heavy smoke as they crossed the SR-312 Mickler-O’Connell Bridge.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a large flatbed truck fully involved in fire. A fast attack was made, and the fire was brought under control in approximately 15 minutes.

There were no injuries reported. The vehicle was said to be a total loss. The cause and source of the fire is still under investigation.
